Planning and Preparation
We started by removing the old retaining walls and clearing the site. Next, we excavated the area, ensuring we had a solid base to work with. We installed a drainage system using gravel and perforated piping to direct water away from the walls, reducing the risk of future erosion.
Construction Process
The retaining walls were built using high-quality concrete blocks, chosen for their durability and clean finish. We reinforced the walls with geogrid and backfilled them with gravel to enhance stability and drainage. Each tier was carefully measured and aligned to create a seamless, cohesive look. We also incorporated erosion control fabric and drainage pipes behind the walls to further protect against water damage.
Our team paid close attention to the height and alignment of each block, ensuring the walls would withstand the pressure of the slope and last for years to come. The final structure not only stabilized the hillside but also created flat, usable areas for future landscaping and outdoor living spaces.
